Planeandy's Photos
Welcome
Welcome to my photo Gallery. My main interest is aircraft photography and on here, my aim is to share that interest with anyone with a similar taste. I don't pretend to be an ace photographer, I do it for my own satisfaction. So if you enter my world, I hope you enjoy it. If you are getting old like me, then you will probably enjoy my other gallery. There is a link on the right hand side, just click on it.

If you are looking for the Selma collection, it has moved to my other gallery as well. See Other Galleries on the right.

19th April 2009Luton Airport
An early morning trip to see the nine Wizz Airs due. The forecast was for early sun, so what happened? Low cloud and a very cold wind. Not ideal but had to be done. Thanks to Graham for his company.

Toulouse
A visit to the airfield to view what new airbuses were on offer. An early departure from Gatwick with Easyjet gives plenty of time to do a tour of the facility if you so desire. Time for a nice meal in the terminal restaurant before returning to Gatwick. Four visits were made in 2006/7, several more in 2008 and the latest visit being made in March this year.

Then south to Wuhan and Guangzhou and finally across to Shanghai before departing to Japan.

Another one dayer, this time with Air Berlin from a very wet Stansted. Once there, the weather was a little wet to start but improved as time went on. Just missed a couple of big storms in the afternoon that went either side of the airfield. Thanks to Phil (BA) for getting the airside access on the first half of the day.
A second oneday visit was made a couple of years later which resulted in better weather.

Covered several museums over the tour and also places with Gate Guards so as most are military I thought it would be better to split the pictures up for those that go for one or the other.

Canada 2008 - Old & New
An Alpha Mike Tour from Montreal to Vancouver. Well worth it, including my first flight in a DC-3 across the Great Slave Lake of the Nothwest Territories. Contrast of old and new, Yellowknife and Toronto, Red Deer and Vancouver, pistons, turboprops and jets and finally floats and wheels. Enjoy the contrast, I did.

New Tower of London
I had visited the New VCR on a few occasions during the work-up phase and the one big plus is the views on a good day. There are however a lot of reflections on the glass which is very difficult to avoid when taking photos.
The New Tower officially opened for business at 0200 on Saturday 21st April 2007.
New pictures from the tower will be under "Around Heathrow 2007".

17th July 2006SBAC Farnborough 2006
The Farnborough Air Show. As usual a small number of aircraft are crammed into an even smaller space making photography very difficult. This was compounded this year by yours truly, who forgot his wide angle lens!!! What a prat!!
15th July 2006RIAT RAF Fairford 2006
A poor show in comparison to previous years. Some of the aircraft were very badly parked as well, seeing that there was so much space available. Even so a good day was had by all and some nice photos taken as a reminder.
17th June 2006Amsterdam-Schiphol
A day out with easyJet from Luton for the huge sum of £30 seemed like a good idea. The visit was a hot sunny day which wasn't condusive to photographs for the first part of the day and thereafter there was a lot of heat haze. A few of the better ones are reproduced below.
